OptiPave ™
OptiPave™ is a Mechanistic-based software specifically developed to design concrete pavements with slabs with optimized geometry, for any set of climate, traffic (as Load Spectra), subgrade/subbase layers and material inputs.
The first version was launched in 2009, which was a mechanistic-empirical design program that included distress models that allows to design projects with the most diverse characteristics. It was created in Chile and calibrated with the results of a study conducted in the University of Illinois in the United States.
Optipave 2 ™
Optipave 2 ™ is the second version of TCP™ design method, developed by TCPavements in 2012. This software features the following characteristics, which allows a precise prediction of the performance of the pavement:
- Features the equivalent structure concept, used also in the MEPDG design software (Khazanovich)
- Compute stresses fast and accurate by using neural networks based on more than 1.000.000 Islab 2000 Runs
- Two unit Systems (English and International system)
- Two languages are included (Spanish and English)
- Traffic characterization: ESALS and Load Spectra
- Adds the possibility to design fiber reinforced concrete pavements (FRC)
- Calculates d of slabs during time in three critical positions (center, longitudinal joint and corner of the slab)
- Calculates two serviceability parameters during time (IRI and Mean joint faulting) based on a differential energy model (Khazanovich)
- The software can be used to design Highways, Roads, Streets, Industrial facilities, parking lots and low volume roads
